This course is a practical introduction to the fundamentals of non-profit management and aims to equip students with the basic skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in the non-profit sector. Students will learn about project cycle management from beginning to end, including conceptualization, planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation, and will complete practical work at each stage. Proposal writing and scenario planning are also included — skills that are highly sought-after and are largely transferrable to the private/for-profit sectors. This course is the precursor to Financial Management and HR & Organizational Behavior in term 3.
